Moog ep2 hissy?
So lately there has been a hissy noise in my setup and I think I've narrowed it down to my moog ep2. I'm using it as a mix control for an expression controlled loop pedal. Its been working fine but lately when I turn the expression pedal switch on and start moving the moog it gets hissy when all the way wet.
The loop pedal itself is dead silent when only the blend knob is blending the wet/dry mix and not the expression pedal.
When I add the moog into the "mix" the hiss is back?
I may be wrong but I don't see how the EP-2 could be adding hiss unless the cord coming out of it recently got messed up.
Maybe the jack that the EP-2 plugs into is actually adding the hiss.
+1 the EP2 is a passive device, and thus, unable to produce noise. Your problem lies elsewhere in the chain.
Ok. Its probably the jack on the loop pedal, must be dirty or something? Bypassing the expression pedal, everything is super quiet. So I'll have to check the looper then.
