Moog EP-2 - anyone have one?

I don't own any Moog Pedals as of now, but I'd like to know if I can utilize this on BOSS pedals? I have some space on my pedalboard, but I'm going to need 3 expressions and the moog ep-2's not only look like they function better, they are smaller.

Anyone?

Bueller?

Oh yea-- first post. Love this place- long time reader.. finally signed up.

Yes, it'll work. I have the older version, EP-1, and it works on anything with an exp pedal input. The EP-2 has some kind of knob included, to set the sweep. Very nice.

That's interesting. The manual in my Space Echo cautioned against using exp. pedals other than Roland, saying that damage could result.

And they don't offer a wiring diagram (at least not that I remember...) so I went ahead and shelled out 45 for a Roland exp pedal.

So I have been meaning to measure polarity and all of the roland to see if it is the same. I have 3 of the EP2 pedals, and they are light years better than the EP1.

That's standard marketing/legalese BS. You'll also notice that nearly every mass-market pedal includes the warning to only use the same brand's power supply, or damage may result. They are (a) trying to sell their own accessories, and (b) covering their butts in case someone tries to present a warranty claim after plugging a welding torch into their pedal.

OTOH it is important to be sure that whatever expression pedal you choose actually performs the function needed. Not only is polarity important, but some devices require a passive potentiometer type pedal, while others require an active, powered expression control. Of the powered ones, there is a wide range of possible voltage amounts necessary- there's no one standard between brands.
