Bassballs

Response at 10:00

=========================================
Mooger

http://alvarfamily.com/superstitionmoog.mp3

Resonance just before self oscillation, Cutoff @ 9:00, Env amount @ 3:00, max mix, drive just enough to turn the Level light yellow when I slap the strings.

========================================
XO Qtron

http://alvarfamily.com/superstitionqtron.mp3

I had the Q's filter set to sweep DOWN (something that neither the Moog nor the BB can do), Hi range, Slow response, Peak @ 3:00

================================================== ========
The drum machine is an Alesis, the "chords" are from my Stingray > POG.

================================================== =======
Here's another one of the Moog where I use the expression pedal to move the filter cutoff freq up and down while I play.

I'll update the Wiki as well.

NICE! thanks for the clips (saving my money for a POG)

I liked em all but the Q-tron edges for me. BTW did you have the mode set on LP with no boost?

LP, and yes no boost on the Q Tron for this one. Sometimes I use it most of the time I don't.

Moog wins this contest. Give it the $10,000.

Qtron gets the home version.

mmmm moog.
Thanks for the comparison. They all sound great to me but the moog would be the ideal choice.

Hmm those clips make the Bassballs sound very subtle...I was under the impression that it was really over the top.

I've been experimenting with using the Bassballs in tandem with other filters. The distinct sweep and bright sound of the BB adds a unique element to the other envelope filters.

I love it when it is driving the BSW's laser mode.
