Moogerfooger Murf Pattern 1A: Static or swept?

Sign in to disble this ad
I asked about the Murf's Pattern 1A a while back (the pattern that doesn't modulate; no "Animation"), but I forgot to ask: is it a static filter with no sweep, or does it sweep like an envelope filter? Info, especially with clips, would be greatly appreciated. I'd love to hear the sonic possibilities of 8 filter sliders and all those knobs on a swept filter, or even a fixed filter for that matter. All the demos and clips I've heard only let you hear the animated patterns, and mostly the crazier settings.

There is no sweep in pattern 1A. It is basically just 8 static filters. 1B also has no sequencing going on, but it does have an LFO that sweeps the center frequencies of the filters up and down a bit.

1a is not animated, however you can "sweep" through the filters using an expression pedal. It's not a very "abrupt" effect, however. Less Like a wah & more like a subtle eq filter depending on mix settings.
