Morley Power Wah Fuzz PWF SOUNDCLIPS

Sign in to disble this ad
Ok, so I'm getting rid of this pedal and sending it to RCCollins the first chance I get. But before I did, I figured I'd do a few clips. Why not? Not great clips, mind you, just a quick demo of what the pedal kind of sounds like. So here you go, here's with the fuzz:

http://media.putfile.com/PWF1

Here's a different clip with the fuzz:

http://media.putfile.com/PWF2

So yeah, as you can tell it's pretty thin and transistory sounding. Kind of funky though. Here's just the wah, and note it's quite hard to use because it operates backwards compared to most wahs (toe up is trebly, toe down is the bassy sound):

And of course just a little clip with some heavy distortion though I will point out to you that I in no way intend to sound anything like Cliff Burton, I have a personal distaste for Cliff's playing. Anyway, here you go:

Alright check 'em out, let me know what you think?

And since it's probable, if you have trouble getting these clips to play let me know and I'll put 'em up on soundclick so you can hear them.

Ok, I'll get those right up on soundclick for you. You'll probably be wanting to check them out. I don't know what the deal is with putfile lately it's been very unreliable.

Soundclick? I've always been interested in how these pedals sound.

Hahaha, go figure. So what do you think? I think that fuzz could be cool for like a backing track on a vintagey sounding funk song or some 60's psychedelic style. The wah actually sounds pretty good and funky, though my playing with it leaves something to be desired I think.

I like everything about it! You're right that both sounds are on the vintagey, psych-funk side of things. Good thing my favorite band is Funakadelic eh?

Certainly is! I love Funkadelic I have a DVD of those guys that's just great. Funny stuff. I have some of their albums too and the playing and tones are just great. But I hadn't looked at the PWF for awhile and man it's old, it's barely held together and it's dingy, but it still just oozes tone if you're into those sounds!

And yeah, I'll get that shipped out ASAP I'm completely done with it now so it's all yours.

I don't know, I got mine for like $60 on eBay. Your eBay shopping experience may differ.

And Bassmingo, the Fab Tone clips are also up on this page:

http://www.soundclick.com/PsychedelicBassJams

Just scroll down and you'll see them. For fifty bucks it's worth checking out... if you don't mind sounding like Mick Mars.

looking forward to it. I had a chrome power wah once before, not sure why I unloaded it. But it was dingy when I got it, and polished up to a nice shine!

I'll see what I can do with this one...

Does anyone have a Morley power wah fuzz for sale? I've been trying to get one for three years with no luck.
