Morley Power Wah vs. Morley Power Wah Volume

Is the only difference the added volume feature on the power wah volume? Will the wah sound the same on both? Musicians Friend says that the power wah volume is good on guitar and bass, but they didnt say that for the standard power wah.

I'm not sure about your question, but I do own the power wah. And I personally don't think it's very good. The volume feature would be extremely helpful though, and I can't see why it would make a difference to the sound, so I'd say it's safe to say it won't affect it. But you might want to consider a different wah, the gnarling dogs Bootsy wah looks really cool.

yes it is the same, the volume is an added feature that you can switch to. you need to decide whether you want to have your wah and volume pedal to be in the same place in your signal chain though.

No sound difference whatsoever.

But like Lebowsky said, the combined volume feature can be both a curse and a blessing... you do need to think about where you'd ideally want your volume pedal to be, because if it's not the same place you want your wah to be, then this pedal isn't for you; you'd be better off with the regular Power Wah and a separate volume pedal.

The Power Wah Volume is primarily crafted with guitarists in mind - not because of the sound, but because of putting wah and volume features in one pedal. Most guitarists who get this pedal are likely using it all by itself, with few other pedals; in that case, it's perfect for the effect-light soloing guitarist.

i have the PWO model.

im running the: bass -> Little big muff -> Morley PWO -> amp.
and i am controlling the volume with the volume knob on the muff. that way i can control the volume easily without the volume system on the pwo.

but it would probably not be any big problem anyway

hauntedoak... I think you're talking about a different kind of volume control.

Unless you're adjusting it on-the-fly with your foot... are you using one of those giant rubber knobs, perhaps?
