Morpheus Bomber – The Bass Whammy Replacement?

Sign in to disble this ad
This latest Tool for bassists goes UP a fifth, like a shot of good single-malt Scotch:

The Morpheus Bomber Polyphonic Pitch Shifter

"Morpheus unveiled the Bomber polyphonic pitch shifter at Summer NAMM. The pedal shifts pitches up a 2nd, 5th, one octave, or two octaves. It shifts pitches down a 2nd, 4th, 5th, or one or two octaves. It also has a three octave foot controlled Dive Bomb."

So will it compete with used and rare-as-hens'-molars Digitech Bass Whammies? Will it out-Whammy Digitech's latest, the Whammy DT?

Searched for this, but didn't find anything on TB about it, so if there's already a thread about it ... Well, excuuuuse meee.

If it doesn't do harmony settings with the treadle rocking between two differeny harmonies it won't replace the Bass Whammy.

But a Pitchfactor or M9 with an expression pedal sure will!

No, Disposition is played with a fifth up harmony sweeping up to an octave up.

But I wonder if it works on bass, anyone tried?
Dunno why folks always forget about the Whammy on the old Digitech BP8 that are soooo cheap.
