The most I'll spend on a pedal is $200-$300.

what's the most expensive you've bought/or spent on a pedal?

Always had my eyes on a Akai Deep Impact...

But it would have to be my SansAmp BDDI.

I spent $550 US on my Deep Impact. I think thats probably around the most expensive individual pedal I have. My 70's Jumbo Tonebender was up there too.

I regularly spend around the $300 mark - B:Assmaster, BJFE Blue Berry, Micro Synth etc...

I'll pay pretty much anything (within reason) for something if it gives me what im after.

I am also a cheap bastige; anything over $225 or so makes me squeak.

Most I've spent was the $300 on my POG. That record will likely be broken if the new Chunk Synth actually lives up to the hype.

Lol, I opened this thread and the advert at the top was the Chunk Systems $600 synth. That's probably the most expensive effect I will buy. Atm the most expensive one I have is a Woolly Mammoth which was £200 ($400).

I had a voodoo vibe that cost me $380.

I also had an over drive elctronics valve grinder, that was 2 something.

I think the voodoo vibe was the most expensive so far.

the most i think i could spend on a single pedal would be around $150. mostly, i have to hunt for bargains. when i saw a used maxon af-9 in the classifieds, for example, i had to jump on it--i've wanted that pedal for years!

yeah, so no $600 bass synths for me.

related note: i sketched out the number of pedals i'd ideally have, and i'm looking at a good seven more, minimum. so much gear, so little money!

I've spent between $275 and $300 on a pedal twice: Moog Freqbox and EHX HOG. I could see myself going higher, but it better impress me.

The most I ever spent was $225 for a Sweet Sound Mojo Vibe. I later sold it for $400 though. Typically I don't spend more than $100-150.

I guess it all depends on how often I would use it, how good it sounds and what my budget is at the time. I hate to spend money on something that isn't going to get alot of use, but I would rather live without a certain effect than pick up something that I am unhappy with. I wouldn't say that I need a ton of expensive pedals, but, rather, a few well thought out, quality ones. There are a ton of great pedals that are priced nicely, but I spend all this time obsessing about basses and amps, and never really considered how certain effects would affect my tone. My favorite right now is my Van Amps Sole-Mate reverb-which just happens to also be the most expensive. I believe it was around $300. It's expensive, and more than I wanted to spend at the time, but I've had it for a while and it serves me well.

The Moog Bass Murf was about $500, so is the Digitech RPx 400, but I sold the Murf and the Rpx 400 never leaves the house, since I'm using it as a recording interface.

I bought a Bass Whammy used for $575. Couldn't deal with the monophonic nature of it though, so I sold it for $625 a week or two later.

So far the most expensive pedal on my board is my MI Neo Fuzz at $170. I have plans for three near $300 pedals (EHX mico synth, subdecay prometheus and analogueman bi-chorus)

I guess this would have to qualify as a pedal... somehow... but I love it now that I'm using it.

I spent $300 for a BOSS ME-50B a few years back, but that's a multi-effect, so I don't really think that counts. The most expensive single pedal I've ever bought was an MXR M-80, for $120. The most expensive pedal currently on my board is a $100 Aphex Bass Xciter.
