I'm thinking of purchasing this pedal (in the uk though so have to put on customs etc most likely), but before i take the plunge I wanted to find out if anyone else has played it and your thoughts on it?

Did a search and there is not too much on it but most have seemed to like it.

Some seem to love it but I hated it. It sounded too thin and spitty unless you scooped all the mids out with the notch control, even then it didn't sound meaty enough for me. But then again the demo video on myspace is a fair representation of what it can do, so if you like that then go for it!

I've had one for about a week now and I'm really digging it. It can sound really thin and spitty as dannybuoy says, but you can definitely fatten it up keeping the notch controls < noon. It's got a great range of sounds but don't expect anything clean out of this guy. It goes from 10-20, rather than 0-10 if that makes any sense.

The 'more heavy' feature only activates if the main pedal is engaged, which was somewhat disappointing...

You can totally get close to the sound Al Cisneros has on the last Om record if thats your style.

All in all a good pedal. Alan was great to deal with and shipping was a breeze. I'd recommend it.

The Megalith is AMAZING!
The low end is sick.
Alan is a standup guy and great builder.
The controls take a moment to learn but you won't be sorry.
I unwisely sold mine to fund other pursuits but I will be purchasing another one when finances allow.
I unwisely binged and purged a lot of pedals this past two years. It made me not worry about using multiple amps it sounds like a brontosaurus on fire.
(sorry for the short soundbites I'm baby sitting)
Things can get a bit blurred when played fast, but played slow!
It's like in Return of the Jedi when the Ewoks smashed the walkers from both sides with logs!
