Mounting a Voodoo PP2+ on a Pedaltrain

Sign in to disble this ad
I lost the directions sheet and well....I tried to find a manual online but I couldn't. Is it just as simple as drilling four holes and that's it? I'm crafty with drills but don't want to ef it up. If someone could give me advice or send the manual my way I would appreciate it!

Just make sure you line up the ac inputs with the holes on the front of the board.

Make sure to drill the holes just a little smaller then screws as the screw that come with the pedaltrain break easily if you have to screw them into a smaller hole. I broke the head right off a scew just as I was tightening it up so now its like a rivot thats been shaved off. I cant remove the PP2 unless I drill out the screw.

Also make sure you have the sag controls for channels 1-2 (or 7-8, whatever it is), set the way you want them as they are hard to access one the PP2 is mounted. Other then that, its pretty straightforward.

I haven't seen my sag controls since I mounted the thing. I'm glad that the sag controls weren't a really big selling feature for me.

Honestly, I've only got two screws mounting mine in. The ones facing upward went in alright after I tapped a hole with a drill but the second set that face outwards never lined up proper.

With the screws being self-tapping and the aluminum being fairly easily marred I wouldn't expect to be playing with it a whole lot if you expect for it to stay.

I know I've seen some, check the "tips and tricks to setting up a clean pedalboard" thread. I know there were some upskirt shots there.

I can get you some if you still need 'em but probably won't get down to my practice studio until mid-week.

No. The PP2+ extends below the rails and is locked into place on all four sides. You'd have to remove the screws and mounting brackets to remove the unit.

The screws are #8's, so use a 1/8 inch drill bit. On my PT1, I replaced the factory screws and used stainless screws. I also employed black screw cap covers available at Lowe's.

Cheers
