What is the best version of the Big Muff pedal by EH? I'm considering getting one, but would like to know the pros and cons of them all so I can choose. Thanks everybody

I'm fine with a used one as long as it works and looks decent. But this thread isn't about me looking to buy one lol it's about everybody's opinions on the different versions

Ok.
I have a...
Sovtek green muff: Thundering lows, supper thick sound, no mids. So you will sound awesome but can easily be lost in the mix.
EHX Russian muff: not as smooth as ^ but all the same pros and cons.
BBM: has blend which is very useful but overall sounds bland.

Have: (the vintage stuff allows for several mods and upgrades that make them better then the newer versions):
Sovtek Green '92 Muff - like
Sovtek Black '02 Muff w/ Indy Guitarist mods- really like
Civil War Muff - behind glass
GGG - BM Clone - since it's a kit lots of possibilities to suit your tone. Great Muff option if you're undecided.

Got rid of:
Bass Big Muff Pi - worst than bland and talk'n about getting lost in the mix. Worst than the Boss Bass Chorus as far as bass centric pedals go.
EHX Big Muff Mini

You really should search on here, as well search youtube for videos...

You also need to be specific for what you want to use the muff for and in what type of setting. Do you want low gain, high gain, muddy, crisp? Do you play with heavy guitars or light OD/clean guitars?

Seriously Go Green! If you can find one on eBay between 100-125, buy it!
