Ok, this is probably gonna sound incredibly stupid but can you change the order in which you scroll through the effects on a multi effects pedal?? yeah im an effects noob ok!!?!?!

In some units you can store your patches in any order you like.

if you are talking about zoom pedals then no, the order the effects are in are the same, however you can make patches of different effects (wich are usually a-d 0-4) and use the pedals to selec what effects you want there, i usually have the clean setting as the first that pops up then have the effects i use more often closer to 0 and the ones i use less often further away from 0.

ah yes, with the zoom B2.1u you cannot change the actual effects but you can change the presets. (the presets being what you change with the two pedals at the bottom.)
