So im planning to buy a multi effect processor soon.
the zoom b1x is the cheapest option, only the zoom 2.1u has a usb port hence im slightly more inclined towards it as i would not have to buy a separate usb interface to record and since im usually not playing live and pretty much just jamming with a drummer,i dont know whether its wise to spend more for a line 6 bass floor pod.

The Floor Pod may have "better" amp modeling but the Zooms have better and more tweakable effects overall. Plus their amp models aren't too shabby either as far as that goes. |

Both great sounding bass multi-effects processors. I vote for the zoom b2.1u mainly because it's got more variety of amp models and effects than the line 6 bass floor pod. I hope my sound samples helps you out. |

I have a G1x and it is a great pedal but there is no comparison.

| | | | I tried the b1x but couldnt get a ring mod accented voice anywhere near as nice as my Zoom Player 2000B got. My B9.iut however does that fine with lots of tweaking and experimenting to get it there. The latter also unlike most other units has a more musical flanger and delays to my ears somehow. But if you cant afford the B9.1ut w2ith a little more saeving up, then the B1 should be concidered and tried.

I have one, don't use it anymore, pretty much hated it most of the time I used it, although a couple of amp sims sounded not too bad IMO.
I've never used the B2.1u, but I do use the A2.1u for my acoustic guitar set-up and can get good sounds out of it, so I'm guessing the bass version has got to be somewhere near that.

| | | | I would spend a little extra cash and get the Boss ME-50b, It does everything well, and is gig tough, but then again I like knobs and hate buttons/menus. I got mine used for $125 on the bay. Happy hunting. |

There's a nice selection of delays and some crazy stuff. The filter wasn't too bad either. Sometimes the phaser was a bit noisy, but that may have had something to do with my house's wiring. The amp models were quite usable. I can't say how accurate they were but I liked the Tube Pre, Sansamp, Bassman, and Ampeg models. One thing about them is they don't have modeled tone controls. Each model has the same controls, (gain, blend, and volume) and the two eq modules each have either 3 fixed bands or one parametric band. |
