Guys thank you for your help with my other questions.
Now for the big one
I'm in a 90's cover band and I need to be able to get a bunch of different sounds
I would like to get a multi effects unit that can save several different settings that I can re-call with a foot controller
I have my rig in a rack so that is an option
Lets hear those awesome ideas! |

The favorite multi effects unit that is most frequently mentioned is the Line 6 M9 or M13 mult effects unit. With updated firmware it works well on the bass.

The 4 Boss ME series bass multifx ever produced are ME-6B, ME-8B, ME-20B and ME-50B. In the GT series you have GT-6B and GT-10B and there's the OLD BE-5B.
@OP TBH, use the search function. This question is very common. In any case, I bet my bottom dollar that most replies here will suggest the Line 6 M9 or M13.

As such, the Line 6 X3 pro might be an option (or the much inferior but much cheaper Behringer Bass V-amp pro).
The Line 6 X3 can be remotely controlled by a number of their foot controllers that come in various sized for different needs. They are powered by the X3 itself via the cat 3 ethernet connector. This makes for an easy connection, easy setup and no need for a power supply at the front of the stage.
Other rack based multi's, such as the Behringer tend to me midi based, so you need a midi foot controller, which can be a headache to setup and required their own power supply.
Line 6 used to make a Bass Pod Pro that's not quite in the same league as the X3, but still darn good. Might be worth a hunt on ebay.

I have this unit, but evidently I am too stupid to figure the *^$*&$^% thing out. I am so pissed I'm gonna sell it. But I will say, the few tones I've managed to isolate sound great. Ahh $@&^, now I am pissed again thinking about it. Pardon me whilst I go elsewhere and cuss for 10 minutes.
