Yes - I did a search but didn't find what I was looking for.
I am considering the purchase of a multi-effect for bass and am looking at the Boss GT-10B or the Line 6 Bass Pod XT Live. I really haven't had a chance to play through either of them yet but wondered if anyone had opinions as to which was better. Is there something else I should be looking at in the $300-$500 range? Maybe just a Sansamp? Thanks for any input!

From what i have heard around various forums, generaly the GT-10B is best suited for live, the Line 6 is best suited for recording.

Get the little foot pedal. GREAT chorus/verb/delay and a really nice leslie sim... no amp modeling (which is rather useless live) or distortion, but everything else - and the output sound quality is really nice. http://cgi.ebay.com/DigiTech-S-200-D...3286.m20.l1116
I find every multi pedal I've bought to be a disappointment. Every one... but this rack unit is nice. |

Don't discount it just because it is a Zoom. They made a huge jump in quality from the 607 to the B series. If you can, try one. |

I will check out the stuff you mentioned and do some more investigating.

Since you mentioned it, can you say how the Zoom b9.1ut compares to the GT-10B?

I just know that I tried the B2.1u at a local shop and was more impressed by the sounds than I was with my ME-50B (which I got a lot of good use out of). If I didn't get so much good feedback on the Zoom here, I would never have touched Zoom after I owned a 607. I find myself now suggesting people try the Zoom when they don't mention it as one of their multi-effect options. It may just be their preference. |

I play in a praise and worship band and have eliminated my rig and go straight to the board with a nice monitor mix. I Love it. Little bit of a learning curve but it's fully adjustable via the knobs and pedals or USB to your PC. I plug mine in step on a patch and let 'er rip.

When you say multi effect what sorts of features are you most interested in? Modulation, delay, synth/filter, amp modeling, compression, eq, tuner, headphone amp? Do you like to change your sound up a lot on the fly or are you more of a set and forget type? Different products have different strengths. The Boss units are more like separate pedals, PODs have better amp models than effects, etc. I found the Zoom B2 sounded better to me than anything else |

I am more interested in effects which I can change on the the fly than I am in amp modeling. I play a lot of different things, might be hard rock/metal one minute and then 80's pop the next, then some blues. I would like to be able to get my sound to be "similar" to what I am covering or at least fit the style of the song. Some dirt for the metal, some synth like sound for the 80's stuff and then some good ole blues tone. I realize amp/cab modeling could be part of that as well but I like to play with the effects for the most part. And I have to have a tuner built in. Drum loops are always nice as well since I like to practice my scales with a drum loop playing. I have a basic Digitech pedal that works well for that but just looking to expand my sound/tone options.
Thanks again for all the input here. It's making me think about some things I haven't considered which is always a good thing!
