I am building a pedal board and want a 9v supply that can power 5 pedals and only take up one outlet spot.

There are a dozen or more to choose from. Two things:
1) Please search on the words "supply", "daisy", and "brick" for a range of threads on the subject.
2) You have to be very conscious of the power requirements of every pedal you want to connect to the supply. Identify each of these things, for each pedal:
--AC vs. DC
--voltage amount
--polarity
--current draw
The first three are super easy to find. The current draw can be trickier, but you may find that info on the manufacturer's website.

You might find this website useful for finding current, voltage etc specifications of your pedals. It also has a very indepth list of different power supplies that you may want to look through.
