Sign in to disble this ad
im trying to imitate the sound of city of delusion, it sounds like a filter continually opening at a constant rate. i can get the sound of the effect from my BSW, but not opening like that.
is this triggered by an expression pedal, continually opening the filter? if so, it looks like im finally going to replace my BSW, i never really found much of a use for it in band setting, any recommendations? BSW was too violent sounding for my bands tastes :P
what have the people tried/heard about the enigmas exp. capabilities? |

I know that you can get something close to that with the BSW on one of the synth settings, with the vocal wah on the ModFactor (with an expression pedal you can get very close), you might get something like that with a Bassballs and a LPF after it, or maybe a talk box. |

But I do not have one to try out, so I am not certain. |

volume pedal could work, having it run into the bsw would make the filter open.... but it sounds like chris is playing harder as the solo continues. the bsw i own gets pretty touchy if you dont set it right and play at the right intensity |

| | | | I reckon FM4 (the purple one yeh?) with expression pedal. Think I read that somewhere actually. I've no idea when he has ever used the BSW live.

Setting three, with a long slow sweep...
The FM4 is the ticket. I am getting one soon... First, DOD FX25, and then the FM4 |

can't wait to finish my hsc and have a huge break ><
and totallybacan, can i do that with myt BSW? i think the envelope filter will stop that from happening as its triggered by spikes in the signal, right? |

| | | | I believe a fuzz going into an envelope filter going into a foot-controlled wah would work quite nicely for that kind of sound.

The FM4 is on the board, but when BHaR came out... It was in a rack, with his others. He has an expression pedal with Midi control through a rocktron.
I am almost sure it is this effect...
