Im running my bass through a boss Superoctave ( OC-3) and a big muff. How can I get that tone that Chris does when theyre playing live? For example, in reading in 2006, his bass sound like it has a clean tone over it!? How can I do this? pleeeaassee help (my amp is an ashdown eb 180, with this effect send/recieve thingy aswell as a passive and active input)...

get a blender pedal thingy (BOSS LS-2 for example)... blending clean signal with effected signal

Kian, you know that you have at least one thread open about Wolstenholme's tones already. Please use your existing one if you have any further questions from now on, or, better yet, perform a search. The Starlight tone has been covered in this forum numerous times, as well as several other tones of his.

Agreed. This is getting ridiculous. It`s as if the new guys think they know about some hip bassist the rest of us have never heard of...

Oh, add Burton to the list too.

If you don't feel we've answered your question yet, PM me your address. I'll buy you an LS-2, send it to you, and then come down to your house and set it up so you sound like Chris Wolstenholme.
