MUSE-Time is Running Out with BOSS ME-50B FX Pedal help

Hey, ive been teaching myself bass for just over a year and just recieved a BOSS ME-50B pedal for Christmas, Does anyone know how to get the perfecdt sound for the song Time is Running Out by MUSE?

It would be really difficult to approach that with the Boss. I used it for years and you can dance around that with the fuzz, or maybe the synth (I had real trouble getting the synth to sound good, though). Try some dirt with a fixed position on the wah setting and hope for the best.

I doubt you can get the exact sound using a bass guitar into a synth effect, as it was
originally done on a synth doubling the bassline, with a portamento setting to give that "sliding between notes" effect. when they play it live the synth line plays off a sequencer, (or maybe by someone playing it on a keyboard).

you could get close using a MIDI pickup driving a synth.

Yeah, I was a little heartbroken when I found out Wolstenholme was doubling it live with a synth. A band I was in used to play it live all the time and I've been through a few distortion pedals. At the moment I'm using a Big Muff Pi with a DS-1 on at the same time, but I think I'm guna get the DS-1 modded soon lol. It's quite powerful distortion (I blend in some clean with it so I don't lose any low end). It's too heavy for TIRO though, more useful for Hysteria.
