Question Music into a GT-10B for practice?

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm pondering the GT-10B for practicing and then use it as a universal preamp if it comes to playing out.

1. Can I mix Guitar Pro 5 (or music) audio output from the computer into the GT-10B and then mix out through Sennheiser HD280 headphone monitors?

2. Can I hook an Ipod into the GT-10B and then mix Ipod+bass out through the headphones?

3. Can I mix Guitar Pro 5 (or music) audio output from the computer into the GT-10B and then mix out into my LMKII rig, playing the mixed music/bass signal through the GS112s?

4. Can I port output from the the GT-10B into the computer and play the mixed Guitar Pro 5 (or music)/bass signal through the computer's speakers?

I need a way to get music and bass out the same spot, as it drives me nuts when I'm playing music out the computer and bass out the amp. Feels like focus is in two different places.

4)Page 96 of the manual available on-line Free... You can adjust the volume from the GT10B out and the digital audio mix from the PC in (USB)... I will have to try it when I get time... In summary it does have a setting for USB in(Bass 3)

plugging the USB into your comp adds a sound input and sound output device on your computer.

in the control panel (on your comp) you can set your computers sound output to be the GT10B so any sound you would normally hear on the comp will come through the pedal, and through the headphones or sound output.

you can play your bass through the computer speakers if the onboard sound card allows you to mix the signal into the main mix, but i cant see why you would unless youve got some studio monitors. bass guitar wont sound very good through most speakers

1.) Yes, set your default playback device to the GT-10B and adjust the aduio either from the application or on the GT-10B USB INPUT MIX Level.

2.) Yes, plug into the send/Return loop 'return' and enable that effect, and place it near the end of the chain.

3.) Yes if yoy are referring to using an external Amp & cab.

4.) Yes, only if the application supports multi ASIO cards, generally ASIO spec only allows one sound card at one time, but if you install ASIO4ALL (asio4all.com) this will allow multiple soundcards to work on ASIO.
