Hi All,
Can anyone confirm if there is a big difference in the sound that you can achieve from both of these pedals? I know that he HAZ re-issue is not looked upon particularly well by many but never heard much about the ARP Mu-tron III which was only made between 1979 -1980.
Any advice on this would be gratefully received.
Thanks |

Thanks | I owned an 1979 ARP version. I was the original owner, too...get the Musitronics. The ARP version sucked, until I got it modded by LSound. It became better, but still sounded thin.

the ARP one with attached power cord and LED sounds thinner and doesn't have the wetness the original does.
even modded the ARP doesn't get there, trust me i tried. |

Too bad, too, with the resurgence of interest in all thing old school and analog, they could be putting out some great stuff right now- and giving Moog a run for their money, just like they did in the 70's.
