What about a multi-effects unit? Doesn't sound like you are that attached to any specific effects other than for this project, so save your $$$ and just buy an all in one solution that suits the current need. |

My board:
Clean Boost
Octave
Fuzz
Flanger
E. Filter
YMMV

Short story: my son went to Berklee College and they did a pitch test in one of his classes. Most of the kids thought E was F. It makes sense because his generation were teenagers in the 90's.

* Edit
When I first heard this video I thought the tone was largely due to the Blue Steels, but the more I listen to it and listen to my own basses, I think maybe he tried those new Elixirs or something. Tone like that is the reason why I sent them their strings back during that free trial thing and went back to Rotos and Blue Steels.

I do know that he'll be changing his rig up this time around: SVT-4 Pros powering his 18" cabs and Vintage 1973 SVT's powering his 810 cabs.

That tone just sounds way to thin to me. Its also way too high in the mix. I love the hear bass in the mix but when its killing drowning out the rest of the band its a bit too much.
