Sign in to disble this ad
It's been awhile since I've investigated effects...I've got an octaver, and a Bassballs, and have played around with flangers, etc.
But I recently have seen some Youtube clips of players creating loops (yeah, kinda like the Jaco "Slang" idea, but with better fidelity)--and also, I think, with pre-programmed drum loops as well.
I'm wondering if there's a pedal that combines looping, pre-programmed drum loop patterns for grooving over, and mutlieffects?
Or does one have to buy looping stuff seperately?
Trying to research on internet tells me that some of the multieffects pedals do have drum loops, but can't tell if they have sampling/looping functions......
Any help? |

| | | | Some loop stations have beats. The Jamman is one and I believe the RC-2, unfortunately neither can do much
I would invest in a drum machine and run it through the looper

I use a Zoom BFX-708 and a BOSS RC-20XL for my looping goofiness, and that covers everything pretty well.
*EIDT* If you go multi-pedal route, it probably goes without saying to have the signal from the bass hit the multi-effect first, then the looper. |

There are 200 user presets for the effects and another 200 user presets for the drumbeats.
The cons are that it's looper doesn't seem to be a true looper, so you would still to buy another item besides this. Also, it is $375. If that is out of your price range, I suggest looking for an AdrenaLinn or AdrenaLinn II on ebay and then getting the $100 upgrade that will give them the same features as the III one.
I'm just saying that this thing is the best in both multi-effects and drumbeats, though it is expensive there are solutions to finding the same features cheaper. www.rogerlinndesign.com

I think there's a Digitech pedal that has drum loops programmed in, for practicing, but I don't think it has sampling/looping...
Looks like maybe there's nothing out there that does both???
I wanna avoid drum machines.....programming is a pain, I've messed with them......just want a cool pedal I can lay down some simple grooves, with drums, and then work on soloes, changes, etc. |

I have the DL4 with the looper but am interested in the JM4.
Anyone try one yet? |

I'm doing more research...seems some of these have a bit of sampling/looping capacity, but then no drum grooves....or drum grooves, and no sampling capacity. |
