Mutron reissue and EHX Qtron

Sign in to disble this ad
I've been searching thru all the envelope filter threads and have a couple questions...

I've been using and comparing the 3leaf and EHX Qtron. They're pretty different animals--both great. I really like the Qtron, but the volume spike could be problematic. The 3leaf doesn't seem have that problem and is fantastic, but a different tone.

I know they're both different from a refurbed vintage model, but how do the Qtron and Mutron reissue compare? Is the Mutron reissue better on the volume issue?? Thanks.

I'm using a Mutron re-issue and I haven't had any issues with spikes. I like it a lot better than my Qtron.

I also have a Mutron reissue, and find it to be a great sounding, non-spiky, highly underrated filter.
