MXR bass auto q

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi everyone,

Just got a mxr vass auto q, been playing it around a bit...

Wanted to ask if anyone had issues with it with active basses?

I just can't seem to find a decent sound that is... Well... Worth it a 100%.

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

I had one and used active basses with it. I could get some good tones, but I found it took a bit of effort to dial them in. There was plenty of areas on the dials that just weren't useable. It also has some pretty serious resonant spikes. I didn't have a compressor at the time but I think that might have helped.
I did have some great fun feeding a Prunes & Custard into it on a fretless.

Every time I tried in store I hated it. Even the digitech bass synth wah is better
