anyone had any experience with this?

is it roughly the same as a SansAmp Bass Driver D.I?

While I second using the search function, I'm here to help too. I actually have both pedals and was about to post a thread on them! The MXR definitely has more "in your face" distortion and a slight advantage because if its dedicated mid control. Its "Color" switch sounds pretty good too, but it scoops your mids which may make you cut through less. However, I prefer the tube emulation circuitry in the Sansamp. It is a bit "warmer". Any other questions, feel free to ask!

the tube emulation circuitry is pretty rad and does sound amazing. but as a preamp i feel it loses some of it nuts. was thinking the mxr di would be better due to the distortion option. plus the mid eq is a winner too.

I've tried both and bought the MXR. It just works well is many situations with the minimum of fuss. Very transparent when you just need a DI too.

It's been asked before and I've searched but never found the answer.

On the M80 the frequencies are as follows:

Bass +-18 dB @ 60 Hz, shelving
Mid +-10 dB @ 850 Hz
Treble +-12 dB @ 4 Hz, shelving

The color button is a mid scoop but does anyone know exactly what frequencies are boosted and cut when the color button is engaged?

I liked the MXR more than the Sansamp Bass Driver but less than the Para Driver. A mid knob is nice but parametric mids are awsome!
