MXR Bass DI (M80) soundclips?

Sign in to disble this ad
I have the Sansamp BDDI and eventhough it's a good box, I've come to the point where I need something new. I found a used MXR Bass DI, but I wonder if anyone have any soundclips of it? I've searched and the only thing I found was a guy playing Meshuggah http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qv3baLNG-10

Anyone got anything else? I'll be using it last in my chain and the EQ will always be engaged.

Send a message via AIM to Mark Olson
Search again because I did a whole bunch of clips of it a long time ago.

Used price should be cheap enough to just buy it, try it, and if you no like, sell it for what you spent. (I predict You'll like it, it's a good pedal).

Good sound clips and demos of the M80 are few and far between. It would be nice to hear a few more. Mark Olson is right though, there are a few here on TB but not that many so I'd e happy to hear some new ones, especially with the recent discussions on TB on the MXR’s ‘color’ button and the tone changes it makes.

I sold this pedal. The pre is ok, but the distortion really sucks!

Does anyone have any songs/records/artists where they use the M80? It's a pretty impressive list on their website though...

As I mentioned, the Sansamp BDDI yields a nice tubish growl, but I'm kinda after a more modern mid-heavy sound. Tube emulation is nice, however it does drown behind two overdriven Marshall stacks...

The distortion side of the M-80 is more of a plus than a feature, IMO.
It's ok, but not great.
