Thinking of grabbing a Bass octaver- one that tracks well.........
A mate has a MXR Bass Octave 4 sale- this ISN'T the Bass Octave Deluxe MXR pedal tho AFAIK... Are there differences?? The New Aguilar one looks nice, but thats geting UP there in $$$$ - So any info on the MXR bass Octave & MXR bass octave deluxe & their respective features/differences would be gratly appreciated
Thanks,
Rod

Non Deluxe only has dry and octave. So you miss out on having two types of octave, and the mids boost. Not sure how the non deluxe tracks.

| | | | I personally prefer the bass octave deluxe, the mid boost is awesome. I didn't know that MXR made another octave pedal. But apparently they did. I think the deluxe is the updated version, hence the name. But MXR makes some cool stuff, so I'd jump at that pedal your buddy is selling. |

I'm thinking of getting the BOD to compare with my OC-2.

| | | | I had trouble with tracking with both the Bass Octave and Bass Octave Deluxe. IMHO, the Bass Octave needs a fairly hot signal. The Deluxe just seemed to have a delay to the octave and it seemed to increase the higher you played. It was very, very noticeable but I haven't seen others complaining about that so I wonder if there was a problem with the BOD that I had. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
