i had a blowtorch and i remember it doing this sometimes. its just because its a true bypass pedal. it does that a lot with true bypass pedals, i dont think its anything too serious. the level of the pop depends on how loud you have the settings for the most part. now if its some unearthly loud pop noise then maybe its something else

hmm well im no electronics whiz, but that sounds like a big problem. are you using 2 fresh batteries or an 18 volt adapter? outside of a power issue i dunno what to tell you. did you buy it new with a warranty?

Welcome to the delights of true bypass! The cause is a sudden shift of DC voltages in the signal path. There's no silver bullet solution, and it will get better or worse depending on which way the wind is blowing.

Check all of the usual suspects first, power supply, cords etc. I own a blowtorch and it's never happened to me before.

Mine does it with 18v... not with 12v.

Then again, I like the synthy fuzz the 12v adapter brings to the table.

Never happened on my Blowtorch, but it's always been a pest on some of my old 9V true bypass pedals.
