I've had the thing for about a year and I'm really trying hard to make it fit in my band's music (mostly classic rock style stuff, a little harder-edged the Cult, see the genre. So far, I've got it in for a short intro spot on an original song.
As of today, I've found 2 settings that are "OK" IMO (I'll give the sub slap settings a shot again tomorrow, just for my own fun).
# 1: gr 8 am, dry 1 pm, gi 1 pm
# 2: gr 1:30 pm, dry noon, gi 10:30 am
Anybody got good settings they're willing to share ?

Growl- 2 o'clock
Dry- 1 o'clock
Girth- 12 o'clock
Mids Switch engaged at 800hz
Great pedal. I get a very midsy growl out of it and the added harmonics from setting my Pork Loin for very subtle grit give me an awesome octave tone. Overall it sounds great feeding into my filters and CR-7 chorus.

I'm guessing you have it placed more at the top of your chain, izzat right ? That's also a thing I want to try, mine is looped a little at the end, just before another pedal. Seems a lot of guys have it way before.

Should I place it way first, or can it go after the tuner (Boss TU-2)

Edit: I've actually got a 105q lieing around someplace. I can post some 105q -> BOD (vice versa) clips for you to help you decide on the purchase.

Dry: 3 o'clock
Growl: 11 o'clock
Girth: 2 o'clock
Mid switch at 800
It comes first in my chain right now except for a tuner. Gives me a sound that I like at least. |

Always like to hear clips |

One pedal I've found that really sounds great Before the BOD is the Devi Ever Dark Boost (DB). My usual octave sound is DB-BOD-Wounded Paw Attack Goat. If I want a more synthy sound I use a Prunes & Custard or a Brown Dog instead of the Goat. |

Growl 8 o'clock | Dry 1 o'clock | Girth 1 o'clock Here you go.
First clip is 105q into BOD. Second clip is BOD into 105q.
Sorry about the sloppy playing and poor use of the wah, this is the first time my foot has touched the wah in months. Hopefully this gives you an idea of what BOD + 105q sounds like.

Listened to'em a couple of times each, still can't really decide which one I like best, although I thought the 2nd clip (BOD > 105 Q) sounded a little better. I'll give'em a few more listens in the next few days and one thing's for sure, I'm a-getting a 105Q.
And BTW, nothing to be apologetic about your playing, dude, nothing at all !
Thank you very much for taking the time to do this. Why not post it in the Wiki, it probably can help a few others as well ?
Mike

I kept getting a HUGE boost when I had it after my fuzz pedals. Now it gets a super saturated fuzz and keeps me closer to unity.
I love the way it sounds through my distortron.

Mike | I'm glad they were useful to you.
I just went crazy and posted a tone of BOD clips on the wiki.

This pedal can kick out the sub octave so you have to be careful which is hard when the band is kickin' (anything below the low A and you're askin' for it)

Then again , I dont know if its not tracking, or if my amp/cab are not reproducing the super low freq
