it sure is a bad-ass pedal! for me, it's a toss-up between that and the Maxon AD999.

Or if you only care about the important part, THE DELAY... 600ms - $150... Seriously.

the modulation isn't quite as space-y as i was hoping for (like the memory man), but it's still pretty cool. and it's a really good sounding and very usable pedal. i dig mine and won't be getting rid of it any time soon

Just saw one in the flesh yesterday. Love that small MXR package, you could fit alot more stuff on the board if everything was that size.

That's why mine is before my Analogman Bi-Chorus, and after my BF-3. Plenty of fun modulation options to be had. I'll agree that the modulation on the Carbon Copy is not so amazing, but the delay is really great for the price, as well as being a small form factor box, and with a blue LED!
Needless to say, I'm loving mine!

I played one yesterday and thought it sounded just about as good as the analog delay I use. The great thing about it was size!!! Too bad the Modulation mod is so damn annoying to do with those silly SMD components... sigh.

Also, if you unscrew the back, you will find trim-pots for the modulation circuit ("Width" and "Speed"). If anyone wants to try the mods let me know and ill link it!

Welcome to the Effects Forum; the only place in the known universe where small packages are praised.

I'd like to read through them. Love my CC the way it is but I'm curious.

How's the headroom on the CC? My DMM gets very irritating in this regard.

I am using it primarily with my synths, my modular setup puts out a HOT signal... +10-20db @ 5v... I have yet to really distort it, so I would say its excellent.

Actually after a bit of googling I found a much easier way to increase the depth of Modulation.

All you would have to do is replace the 470K resistor (R7) with a lesser value ~100K.

This should greatly increase the Modulation you'll get with the circuit. Happy modding!

This is much easier said than done. Have you ever tried to replace a surface-mounted resistor before? It's really hard. You need an incredibly steady hand and an iron with a crazy fine tip.

As have I. Although I never said it'd be easy .
There are techniques to such things...

For the iron tip dilemma, I simply, carefully, filed the tip down with a very fine file. I also purchased another few tips afterwards, though. It never hurts to have a few extras laying around .
