I had one of these for a day this week. Great in theory, but not so practical. First off, while I dig the vibe of keeping these original it's very difficult to cram the battery in there without feeling like you're either going to break the circuit board or the 9V battery wires. Wouldn't be so much of an issue with an included AC jack but, again, that would make it less vintage I guess.

The sound was pretty good but sucked out a fair amount of the midrange. Since I play a fretless this had a huge impact on my tone that required an eq boost. It is a lot more transparent than a Phase 90 though and I much preferred the phase effect of this unit. Nice and subtle all the way down. I probably would have kept it if not for the battery cramming issue. I've got a Micro Flanger coming today instead.
