MXR Dynacomp

Hi everybody! How is MXR Dynacomp for bass guitars? Is it working effectively? I read a view about basses. It is said that " the only real problem for bassists being that like other Ross-related circuits, it loses a bit of the lows"
http://www.ovnilab.com/reviews/dynacomp.shtml

Is there anybody who uses this pedal?

I borrowed one from a friend one time... I couldn't get a sound I was happy with from it....

Ive got one up front right now, about to get replaced by the MXR 87. It...works. It'll even out your attacks but at the price of some low end. I still get a decent sound out of it but it *does* colorize your sound a fair bit.

I oscillate MXR Dynacomp and MXR M132 Super Comp. Prices are pretty much the same. I'm playing Death/Doom and Stoner usually but also playing Brutal Death Metal.

I've had a Dynacomp sitting around for a couple years, don't like it for bass or guitar YMMV?

I hated the one I tried and the super comp I owned. It really colored the tone.. I really like my grace compressor.

I LOVE that pedal!!!....

...but not for bass. It totally defined the 70's funk guitar sound, but it's gonna be noisy as a bass squasher.

For what it's worth, I've got one sitting around if you want it. I put it up for sale here in the classifieds but there's not much interest in them here it seems.
