MXR Envelope Filter - The 1979 or 76 version

Going nuts!
Do anyone know where to get this cheap thing?!
I see all reviews with "Price payed: 50-70$". I can only find 1 MXR Envelope filter pedal on Ebay and that goes for over 200$.

Surely an MXR pedal from the 70's isn't going to be going all that cheap.

Start looking in pawn shops and mom and pop shops. Once it gets to eBay there's a whole world waiting for them.

One of the guys here swore by it. I can't remember who though, I may have to go look through some old pedalboard thread or something to find it.

OK, I Googled and got this: http://chicago.craigslist.org/chc/msg/621631533.html

So there's no obvious model number. I can imagine the prices of these being all over the map, with some being in great shape and others in flawed or flaky shape, and some buyers or sellers thinking of it as a junky old thing from the garage, while others think of it as a valuable vintage collectible.

No not that one.. This one. Look at page 4 on comments, i asked him if it was the pandora but it was the MXR.

I thought that it's the same as the Dod 440 and therefore the Boomstick Bottom Feeder but I can't find any evidence to support this but sure I heard it somewhere

But there is always this route

http://filters.muziq.be/model/mxr/envelopefilter

to

I don't think it's related to the Dod, the MXR has a variable attack time and the filter is not as extreme as the Dod can be.

If it's not urgent you can find them cheap on eBay too, but you'll need patience. I found one for less than $50 but that was 2 years ago.

I also have at least 6 Exar EF-1 Envelope Filters, which are copies of the MXR and I bought most of them for less than $25, but I need them for a big DIY project

IIRC it's more for guitar than for bass...

I think I saw one in a local shop that has lots of vintage effects for sale. I'll check on it if I can get over there before they close tomorrow.
