MXR m-288 for Dub/Reggae?

Sign in to disble this ad
Ok. I'm thinking the MXR m-288 BOD might do the job for Dub/Reggae stuff. The settings I'd use would be no dry signal, play up the octave on the bass, and let the pedal take me into dub-land. Can it can do synthy/dubby kinda like an OC-2? Doesn't have to be exact, just close and cool enough on it's own. Thoughts?

Also, I'm thinking I might want some sort of envelope filter pedal to use at times along with such an octave pedal to get that 'filter swell/crescendo' type sound. Any ideas as to what would be good for this?

cheers
