Question an MXR M-80 question

Sign in to disble this ad
if i turn on the distortion channel here and turn blend all the way up, then would the EQ knobs still change my sound if twisted them? or here the eq is set to the preset values fixed?

i have a couple of important reasons why i would want to do this, so any help would be appreciated
thanks in advance!

Possibly turn the distortion value up all the way and twist the EQ knobs and listen if the sound changes?

Sorry... but that just seems kind of obvious to try as a do-it-yourself solution.

I got a M80 and i love it. You can use the EQ on both channel.
But the color switch will turn on automatically when you use the distortion channel. But for the clean channel you can have the color on or off depend on your taste.

You can't switch off the clean channel and turn the distortion on. The effect got to turn on all the time and turn the distortion channel on to blend both channel together.

thats alright but what if you turn the blend all the way up so now you only can hear the distortion channel. would the eq knobs effect your tone or would the eq be fixed to the preset?

If you turn the blend all the way to the distortion channel you can still turn the EQ knobs for the sound. Best to try it yourself, i hardly use the distortion channel, even i do my blend will only be 9.00 position and gain no more than 12.00.

I use my M80 as a preamp rather than distortion effect.
