MXR M-82 Tip

I don't know if this is a good tip but anyways...

I just added a booster pedal (EHX LPB1 $40) in front of my M-82. Now, with the booster on I can set the sens knob anywhere between 11 o'clock and the max and get a variety of highly useful tones. Being able to use the sens knob to achieve various tones is indeed very cool to me. In fact, I'm returning my EHX Enigma Qballs because "booster + M-82" gives me an endless tonal possibilities. With the booster off, the sens knob has to be set at 3 o'clock to get a nice tone.

The nice thing is because of the way the M-82 handles the output, there is no volume spike even when I turn on the booster at its max output. I usually boost the input signal to the M-82 by 10-20% and it opens up so many possibilities with the M-82.

Thanks for the tip. I'll keep this in mind if I get my hands on an M-82.

I am a believer that the sens knob on the M82 is the key to unlocking the versatility of that pedal. Putting a boost in front of it is a good idea.
