I love the Blowtorch though, and so far really like what I'm hearing with the El Grande. Chances are I'll keep both.
The clip's breakdown does sound very Tool-esque, doesn't it?

My Hematoma can make that sound, now that I think of it...

As for the El Grande itself, I like its tone a good deal more than the Blowtorch (at least from the clips I've heard) and it looks like a great deal for $99. I might check one out but I'm pretty satisfied with getting my aggressive dirt from an XXLB into a Sansamp, but the El Grande is impressing me, though I want to hear some clips from TBers rather than just manufacturer samples.
As a side note, isn't Dunlop/MXR making "reissiues" of the Way Huge line, including the Swollen Pickle? Based on everything I've read, the El Grande also seems like a modded 70's Big Muff circuit so I wonder how closely the two will sound. |

Man, why can't things be out now! I just want a good fuzz pedal!
Edit: Well, the El Grande IS out now, but my local stores don't have them yet.
