MXR M82 voltage question

Hi...

Just got myself a M82 pedal, and from what I have read online and seen in the manual it says the unit is 9v. However on the side of the actual pedal there is a sticker above the power socket saying 18v.

I won't have chance to try it for a few days so thought I would ask if anyone who uses the pedal can confirm. I am fairly sure it's 9v and the sticker is just a mistake, but just wanted to be sure...

It is 9V. Whether or not it could run safely at 18V, I'm not sure.
