MXR Stereo Chorus vs Analog Chorus

Sign in to disble this ad
Hello all,
I realize that this might have been covered, but I have searched all over and cannot find the answer. Has anyone AB'd the New Analog (or BLS) Chorus and the yellow Stereo Chorus? I am curious the sound and tone difference. I have the stereo but thinking of pulling the trigger on the new one to save a little space on the board.

Thanks!
Jeremy

I'd like to know this as well, and more of the Analog as I'm seriously considering getting one. From what I have heard though, the Stereo seems better suited for bass and is more "lush" sounding. As for the Analog Chorus, its just a rehoused Zakk Wylde chorus which was based on the Boss CE-5, but with more diverse tone shaping. Personally, I would like to get the Analog as its good for clean and gritty stuff, but I'm on the fence between this and the Small Clone (which I've owned once, but sounded REALLY good in the time I had it). Anyone else care to share some better and preferably (and more importantly) on hand experience with these gadgets?

I use the new MXR analog chorus...it's nice and purdy, no low end losses, subtle enough. Especially when it's off (chorus is so 1992 for me). I use it mostly as a line splitter to my remote on stage monitor for the guitarist. It isn't exactly my 1st chorus.
