MXR80 DI questions....

1. what do the phantom/ground switch do?

2. The trigger knob is for adjusting the noise gate right? Say my dist pedal causes alot of noise when i engage it, will it help if i place mxr after it and on the noise gate?

1) phantom power from the XLR output, IF the mixer it's hooked to provides it, and 2) the noise gate only works on the built in distortion circuit, no NR for "other" pedals.

I can't get my MXR Bass DI+ to play with a couple of pedals after it. Somehow it just swamps them and they produce a lot of noise.

I, instead put my MXR at the end of the signal train and it works just fine there.
