MXR80 and SansAmp BDDI- Do these DI boxes colour tone when bypassed?

Sign in to disble this ad
I'd like to get both the MXR 80 DI and the SansAmp BDDI at some point, with the MXR on my pedalboard to replace my tonesucking Ibanez distortion and the SansAmp for actual DI purposes, but the one thing that I absolutely hate about pedals is when they colour tone when not turned on. Boss is the worst for that. Now I know that these aren't going to be true bypass, but do they at least have transparent bypasses?

Get an X-Blender or some other kind of blender or looper. Then you can buy pedals based on how they sound turned on instead of how they sound when they're off. Just a thought.
