Just got my Barber LTD (classic version) and I´m so happy about the sounds I´m getting from it!
It´s creamy, alive and very touch sensitive! I already have a Fulltone Bass Drive wich is nice, but I really fell in love with the LTD! It works fine with all my basses (Fender Jazz Bass Special 85, Fender Precision Lyte, Fender Precison 74, Tagima Precison (EMG PJ set) and Squier Vintage Modified PRecision whith Seymour Duncan Quarter Pound).

Yeah, that would be great. I'm curious about that one too.

How would you compare/contrast the LTD with the Bass Drive?

The LTD sounds pretty close to the vintage mode of the Bass Drive but it is a little bit more brighter, to me it´ll cut better in the mix, I´m gonna use it on a gig next wednesday, so I´ll have more impressions about it.

I did used the LTD last night on a live situation and it was perfect for what I wanted. It cuts very well in the mix and gave me the grind I was looking for. Keep in mind it´s an overdrive pedal, not distortion or fuzz. Now using the LTD and the Bass Drive I have 3 different stages of overdrive: light with the Barber, a little bit more grind with the Fulltone on the Channel one and heavier with the boost channel.

I'm curious how much gain the LTD has. I know it doesn't have as much as the Bass Drive, but I keep the Gain on my BD below 12:00 anyway.

Fernando, where would the Gain on your Bass Drive be set to match the LTD with the Gain maxed?

Keep in mind that the LTD is a low gain overdrive, it works fine with the gain set as 12:00 with my Jazz bass Special with Seymour Duncan Quarter pounds, it gives me the amount of drive that I really like, almost like a SVT cranked up. On the Fulltone with the Gain set at 9:00 will match the LTD with the Gain maxed. It´s very transparent to your tone, you loose very little low end, but I think you have a more 'in your face' overdrive.
