My birthday is coming up - what pedal should I get?

Well, it's coming to that time of the year, and I've decided that my gift to myself this time around will be an effects pedal for my bass.

The pedals that I want to get for myself are as follows:

Tech 21 VT Bass
EHX Bass Big Muff
EHX Micro Q-Tron
Hardwire CR-7 Chorus

I'm leaning toward the VT bass right now since it's the most expensive. I could probably justify buying the cheaper EHX pedals without any sort of special occasion with much less grief from my better half. Besides, I already have a fuzz pedal in the form of a Boss ODB-3 and a wah in the form of a 105Q. I was just thinking of upgrading. Which one would you go with?

I don't know what type of music you play and since you already have a bit of dirt and covered part of the funk arsenal, I'll cast my ballot for the chorus. It will a bit of depth and color to your sound. Mine's ON almost all of the time.

Most of the stuff I play is in the more modern vein of rock or alternative, with some classic rock in there as well.

I've voted for the VT because i think it would be a good idea to get it while you have the chance!
The EHX pedals are great, but like you said, you can always get them another day, as theyre slightly cheaper, plus you already have the ODB3, so thats the BBM out.
I havent tried the hardwire chorus, but i've heard good things! That would have gotten my second vote.

Yep, VT Bass cause there's nothing better than that overdriven SVT tone for rock!

VT Bass or the Bass Big Muff for sure. Two staples for a rock pedalboard.
