My completed (minimalist) pedal board.

Sign in to disble this ad

Is the overall look.

Details -
3 boss stomboxes with only the effects I really need/want. Anything else is only a novelty to me and I dont want it.

All connected with 8" Monster Bass Cables (I also use Monster Bass cables to connect my bass to the pedal board and the pedal board to the amp.

The black piece of wood is actually an 18" piece of crown moulding that I bought for $1.50 a foot at home depot.

I used a heavy gloss paint to paint it black (by doing that it should stay looking new longer).

The pedals are attacked with velcro, and it is strong enough to lift the whole pedal board by grabbing only one pedal.

Here's the undercarraige:

The Boss TU2 Tuner -

The Boss CEB3 Bass Chorus -

The Boss ODB3 Bass Overdrive -

Its completed and I am truly free of GAS (as far as pedal go...I still have like tons of other stuff to buy for everything else). It feels great!

smithal3, you are my kin!

except I hate over-drive, although I've got some on the amp, and I use Arion cause they're cheaper...... Did you just stick the sticky side velcro on the back of the pedals?

Good Job.

I recently got sucked into the Effects game. I'm planning on limiting myself to a Pedaltrain MINI to try and control things. Have you tried the OD in front of the Chorus? Can you tell any difference?

With all that space left, I guarantee you aren't done for good.

I really like this. Mine is similar except I really like to have an EQ on my board, haven't found the right modulation effect yet

You could easily fit two more Boss pedals on there
PS-3 AND FZ-2!

You may be done for now, but...if you do actually use the ODB-3, you'll eventually be left wondering if another pedal could do the job better...

Have you tried the odb-3 before the chorus?
you can easily fit two more boss pedals on there, perhaps a ps-3 and oc-2

Although I cannot stand behind your cable choice...I do like what I see. Cool little board and if it does what you need it to do....your golden.

Careful.....I bought as many of these as I could.
Note - they were on clearance at GC for $5.99. That's certainly a fair price for a quality cable. I understand that these are not necessarily better than a $3 cable sound-wise.

My main reason for not liking Monster Cables is that they can tear up the inputs and outputs of components. The connector is, I've heard that they have changed it, but have nothing stating they have, too big, and pulls the connectors inside the input apart. If it doesn't outright break the input, it makes it so you pretty much have to use Monster.

I'm not slandering, just repeating what I've heard about them from many reputable retailers that refuse to carry them. Even a sales person at GC told me this. I'm not wanting to start an argument, just stating what I've heard.

I'm sure you will be gasing for more pedals soon. Once you got hooked to this it will never stop lol

Here are the list that you might be gasing in the future:

Wah
Compressor
Limiter
MXR or Sansamp etc
and many many more

I'd add a Boss DD-3 Delay and a Boss OC-3 Octaver you've got space and power!

Pretty sure you can get that molding in 8' lengths.
