My first effects venture...

So I've decided to get into effects, and I can already tell that this will become a very expensive and unhealthy addiction.

I know effect one is always a pedal tuner, but since I already have a nice tuner that I'll put on a Y box off the effects loop. Since thats covered I decided to be a grizzly and get an amp tweaker bass tight driver. Next up, chorus...

REPOST: PLAYING IN TUNE IS NOT AN EFFECT.

A good overdrive is hard too find, that amp tweaker looks interesting though... let us know how it sits with ya.

Well it isn't the ONLY thing I have right now. I also have an Aphex Bass Xciter and a ProCo Rat (which is pretty meh to me for some reason) already so I'm not starting from scratch.

That Amp Tweaker Bass Tight Driver does look interesting. Thanks for pointing it out.

The ProCo Rat is one of those pedals that has been through so many versions and variations that only the truly motivated and geeky can tell if you have the right combination of components for it to MAYBE sound good. Even then, it's a crap shoot.

Yeah I did about 3 months worth of research before I started throwing money around. I like the red chord and my band is somewhat along those lines. I listened to a ton of demos of different pedals. The hardest part is attempting to figure out how things are going to sound through my setup.

Hey mike what part of Nashville are you in? I split my time between AR and there.

I'm in "east LA" (Lower Antioch).
