My Gripe with EBS

I was going to wait until they reply, but there a company so...... I have an ebs valve drive, loved it for years. But i recently started having problems with it. After looking over it i couldnt find the problem. I gave it to a good tech buddy, who couldnt figure out why it started working again. So after a while it started ****ing up again. Turns out the tube socket they used was plastic and the pieces that grab the pins had bent open to the point where it lost connection. So i can get better sockets, but why should i have to? These are supposed to be high end gear, i mean 300 bucks and it still has crap components.

Yeah, and the footswitches on that specific model are known to fail now and then.

That's my experience with EBS pedals in general: when they are new(ish), they are among the best-sounding pedals on the market, right at the top of the heap. But then over time they start to fall apart and develop issues.
