My Guyatone BR-2 is not sounding right to me!!

I don't know what is wrong!
It has the correct power supply but it doesn't sound good to me
here is a Home video to show what I mean.

I don't know how your knobs are set but it sounds like its working. I had one but didn't really like it and got the MXR BEF instead.

I'm thinking of getting the MXR BEF again. I regret letting it go.

Nothing wrong with your BR-2, that's pretty much what they sound like.

I got rid of mine because of the tone suck. If both of your knobs are at 2:00, you're losing a lot of tone!

Ahhh I bought one on the assumption they were the greatest thing since sliced bread, sold it not too long after that.

I bought one a while back, it has one setting that makes a sound I like, other than that it is just a muddy mess. Makes me wonder why someone like Justin Chancellor would use one (unless his is modded).

I doubt that its modded. I'll try different settings. What setting did you use?

Justin's wasn't modded. If you check out older clips of Tool live, you can hear the volume drop quite a bit whenever he engaged it. It's a good thing he switched to something better.

I was going to take it apart and make it true bypass but the board is glued down in a strange way and I'm scared I'll snap it trying to remove it. I switched to a BEF instead, wonderful pedal.
