My Marshall Guv'nor crapped out.. help!

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey guys, i was just playing with the vintage Korean Guv'nor i just bought for $200.00 . It's mint condition, in the original box, no scratches no anything. It worked fine for the first week, but when i was just playing it, all of a sudden there was an extreme volume drop and a loud buzzing sound whenever i engaged the pedal. At first i thought i blew the speaker on the amp, so i tried it on another amp. It worked for about two seconds and did the same thing. I played both of the amps without running through the guv'nor, and they work perfectly. Can anyone identify the problem? I really love the sound of this pedal and would hate to have to sell it..

this might seem stupid, but are you running it on a battery?

Thanks! I just replaced the battery, and i found these wires all tangled up inside the back, so i undid them, and now it works again! Man, i'm so glad it works again. I love this pedal so much, i could have never sold it..
