My MXR M80 Bass DI+ sounds like this...

Loving this thing. See what you think.

And most importantly, I think I nailed a sound we recorded for the new album that I can now get live:

Please share the settings that you had on the M-80, especially the first track. Are you using the color switch?

+1

Also liked the 3rd one. Kudos on the playing too. Did you record this using the active gear in your profile ?

Thanks, guys. The first sound, I'm not entirely sure what settings I had. I may have had the distortion circuit engaged, just turned down. In which case the color switch would be on. But even if that's so, I was playing around with the EQ a lot, too.

The third track was: Distortion engaged at 50%. Blend at about 9 o'clock only. The color switch is automatically engaged, but I had the mid knob boosted to almost 9 o'clock. I also had the lows bumped to about 1, just as a way to reach unity gain across the bottom and the top end, if you know what I mean.

I recorded it with the Ibanez SR500 > MXR compressor > M80 > GK MB500 > Garageband.

Yeah, it was partly based on the later sounds in that soundcloud file that I decided on the M80--so thanks!
